Project name: Mandela’s Personal Archive: From Prisoner to President | 2007

Nature of project: Mandela’s Personal Archive builds on the exhibition 46/664 A Prisoner in the Garden, which presented Mandela’s prison archive. This new exhibition also draws on Mandela’s personal documents and memorabilia to enable the visitor to engage with key moments in his extraordinary life, and to give a three-dimensional sense of his journey from Thembu prince to political activist to president and global icon. This will be a travelling exhibition that will be launched at the Malmo Museum in Sweden.
